Samsung Exynos S5N6566 appears on Bluetooth SIG, hints at upcoming Exynos-powered devices

In a recent development, Samsung has quietly listed a new connectivity chipset, the Exynos S5N6566, on the Bluetooth SIG Qualified Product Database, suggesting that the company is preparing new Exynos-based devices for launch in the near future.

As per the listing, the Exynos S5N6566 is a Bluetooth + Wi-Fi combo chip designed to work alongside a compatible Exynos application processor. The certification confirms support for Bluetooth 5, indicating modern connectivity standards and improved efficiency over older solutions. But simulatenously the brand is working on smartphones equipped with Bluetooth 6.1 as well.

Designed to pair with Exynos application processors

The product description details out that the chip will be used to build a “full BT + WiFi solution,” which aligns with Samsung’s long-standing approach of pairing its Exynos SoCs with in-house connectivity modules rather than third-party alternatives.

While the Bluetooth SIG listing does not reveal specific Wi-Fi standards or power details, the certification itself confirms that the component has completed the Bluetooth qualification process, which is usually a step that takes place shortly before commercial deployment.

Launch timeline and possible devices remain unclear

At this stage, there is no clarity on which devices will use the Exynos S5N6566. However, such certifications often precede launches of smartphones, tablets, wearables, or IoT devices, especially those powered by upcoming Exynos platforms.

More details are expected to surface as the associated Exynos application processors and end products move closer to launch.
